I don't have an accent "Y'all do," Texas USA

Making a journey out to somewhere I’ve never been before gives me quiver, it captures me with a sense of wanderlust and made me longed-for more destinations to visit.  Texas, I was more than enthusiastic, this is my first US trip.

This travel is quite different as I will be meeting Riggi’s brother and his family for the first time.  I was excited to meet them especially Riggi’s nephew, Zaden.  By the way, this blog is one year overdue.

More than 15hours journey we arrived in Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Kuya (big brother) picked us up.

Directly upon arrival, we had decided to go to AT&T stadium (home for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL) and had a tour of the stadium and learned a little about its history.

They are staying in Snyder, Texas.  So, we had to travel more than 3hours (if my memory is right) to finally meet the whole family.  It was a long ride but I was cheerfully listening to the two brothers who were talking non-stop and filling themselves of the missing times that they haven’t seen each other.

We finally arrived and there he was the cute little boy who was smiling back at us when we took him from his Tata (Grandfather).

Snyder is a small town with a population of approximately 11,000 people.  Riggi and I enjoyed being there; it was so serene and untroubled.  I was having a total rest that I couldn’t afford in Dubai.

Two days before we left, we travelled to Plano (the city of Plano is a part of the Dallas-Forth Worth metropolitan area) and Kuya treat us for an overnight stay in Residence Inn by Marriot with the full family.  Did a little shopping in Allen Premium Outlets and had my first try of In-N-Out Burger.  I can see Riggi was overjoyed seeing all of them once again and the happiness he felt made me so happy for him too.

This whole trip was all about family.  Riggi and I made sure to bond with them as we don’t know when we are able to see them once again.  We were there for less than a week and the days passed by so fast.  It is always that kind of moment when we are about to leave that makes us want to extend even more.

As I travel and experience another part of the world.  I often become overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for all the beautiful moments we shared especially with those people whom we shared those special moments with – Family.

Thank you Kuya BG and Ate Donna for the hospitality.  We couldn’t wait to see “y’all” once again.

Love,

M xo
