Amsterdam for the second time around

What better way to visit Europe once again?
Amsterdam has a good place in my heart as well as my friends who never failed to welcome us dearly.

@ the Schiphol Airport

This is probably the only SOLO picture I had with THE famous "Iamsterdam."  It is normally so crowded and you will never have a single nicest photo (based on my experience).  This quiet "Iamsterdam" picture was taken at the Schiphol Airport.

I am always thrilled when visiting this amazingly picturesque City of Netherland.

beautiful canal of Amsterdam
A visit to Amsterdam isn't complete without visiting the canals.  I am thankful for our hosts Dhen and Chad for letting us experience an Amsterdam's canal cruise.  I was not able to do this on my first Amsterdam trip last year 2014.

Behind me is the Rijksmuseum at Museumplein

It was a rainy day when I arrived in Amsterdam but it did not stop us from walking and enjoying the streets.

beautiful AMS
It was never a plan to visit Europe but since I was given the opportunity to have a 2 days leave then I just have to grab it.  I was in two diffrent countries, Germany and Netherlands in a span of 5 days and a half.  Travel is always tiring but the fun part is you are enjoying the sceneries and the culture.

Enjoying the windmill view

Thank God for giving us a good weather on our second day because we have to be in De Zaanse Schans to see the "clogs (klumps) museum" and the pristine windmills.

The windmill is such a wonderful sight, it is one of the most recognized symbol of the country.

Weeks back before my arrival in Amsterdam, I got a chance to chat with my high school batchmate who is now residing in Netherlands.  So, we had planned to meet and I was glad to grab that opportunity to see her once again after 19 long years.  It was nice to bond with her even for a day.  Thankee Vanessa ;)

@ my fave - unlimited spare ribs
The best way to end a hungry-tiring day is to devour on one of my fave in Amsterdam.  I just had to pig out on this super delicious mouth watering unlimited spare ribs in Satellites Sports cafe, Leidseplein.  Burp! Burp!  Thanks once again Dhen for your belated birthday treat.

I left a piece of my heart in Amsterdam indeed.

I had learned a lot from my experiences these past few months.  One of those learning is TRUST and one of those few people whom I really value the most is Chad who may not be there physically but I know he is one of the truest of friends.  Chad, you may be miles away but I will for sure have some time to see you and Dhen once in awhile.
Thank You for being my friend.

I am sharing you our week in Dusseldorf, Cologne Germany and Amsterdam, Netherlands video edited by my boyfriend.  Hope you enjoy.

Love,

M xo
