Singapore birthday bash for my Sabriel Benedict

I always make sure that every end of April I am in Cebu to be with my Sabriel on his birthday but this time 2015, I was planning to bring him in Dubai.  Unfortunately, it has been cancelled for the second time around.  My Mama is still actively working and she can't just easily go on a leave.

Then, I thought of surprising him to Singapore.  It was tough for my parents and my brother to keep it as a secret but thank God they had managed to.  Days before they are flying I told my Mama to tell him that they are flying to Manila to pick me up at the airport all the way from Dubai.  My brother told me he was less excited about it and even said "Ayyyyy" because he's been to Manila so many times already.  To add up our little secret, I told him his surprise from Mommy on his 9th birthday is awaiting for him until he arrives in Manila to meet me.

And so it goes....  

He was a bit doubtful on the day of their departure because he has to sign documents for immigration purposes unlike Manila and then he asks my Mama, "Are you sure we are really flying to Manila?"

By this time I already arrived in Singapore patiently waiting for him.  Tic tac tic tac....

I picked them at the airport and I was teary eyed seeing his face in awe and I asked him if he knows where we are.  He silently said Singapooorreeee!!!!

SURPRISE 1 - Well done.

My second surprise for him is to bring him to Universal Studios the following day.  Again, he had no idea about it.  

April 28, 2006 12:06 noontime I gave birth to my bundle of joy.  9years after I never would have thought that I can give him this much of happiness on his birthday.  Seeing him happy made me feel like I was floating in the clouds.

My son enjoyed Transformers a lot, I heard him shouting and laughing during the show.  This is what his birthday is all about = HAPPINESS.

Surprise 2 - Perfect.

I can do anything for my son, I may not be showy about it but he is my everything.  The wind beneath my wings.  Happiest Birthday my son.

Since we are already in Singapore, my son has to see other highlights of his trip so we visited Merlion Park on the same day after Universal Studios.

This trip is not only for my Sabe but we are a group of 7 and most of them are first timers in Singapore except for me and the boyfie.  I am also very happy and excited for my Tiya Abet who dreamed of being in Singapore for so long now.  She was just admitted to the hospital end of March and I never thought that her doctor will allow her to travel.  I prayed for her and God answered.  Thank you will never be enough God.  My Mama, my brother and Tita Lita (boyfie's Mom) were also there enjoying with us.  This trip is for them and I had to make sure everyone is happy.

I was emotional seeing this happy face of My Tiya Abet whose been taking care of my other Tiya Pacit who was bed ridden for maybe 10years or so now.  Tiya Abet and Tiya Pacit are the sisters of my grandma (Mama's mother) and they are like my second Mom's.  They took care of me since I was born and I owe my life to them too.

To wrap up my son's birthday, I was thinking of steam boat or shabu shabu for our dinner.  It will be their first once again.

The next day was a sunny day after the heavy rain from last night and it's a cable car ride for our itinerary.

Gardens by the bay was next in line and this time Tita Lita, Mama and Tiya Abet are more excited.






I asked my son if he was happy on his birthday and I got a positive answer.  Of course it is pretty obvious how Mama, Marwin, Tita and Tiya are making fun too.  What more could I ask for on this Singapore trip?

Despite the busy schedules we have, at the end of the day it is always FAMILY first.  Traveling with them is precious and would love to do this one more time.  SOON.

I said "YES" in Osaka, Japan.

As they said you'll get "lost in translation in Japan," I was lost for a moment.  I was lost for words and never even imagined that Osaka, Japan will be a memorable trip for me. In the morning of Friday the 13th May 2016, I was getting ready for a stroll to a high rise Umeda Sky Building.  I never would have imagined that my life would change in just one magical question.
